The Denver Building Performance Policy (BPP) is a law adopted in 2021 that sets energy performance standards for most commercial and multifamily buildings in the City and County of Denver. The BPP is one of the City and County of Denver’s central strategies for meeting its goal of getting all existing buildings and homes in Denver to net zero energy by 2040.
The Washington DC Building Energy Performance Standards Program
The District of Columbia's Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE) has established a Building Energy Performance Standards (BEPS) Program to increase energy performance in existing buildings and reduce greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption by 50% by 2032.
